Situation
The stuck team
Too many meetings, no movement. Everyone has an opinion, nobody says the real one out loud.
What this usually looks like
You've met about this five times. Everyone agrees it's important, and it's still open. In my experience this isn't a data problem. Someone in the room knows something they haven't said, or there's a disagreement nobody wants to name. More slides won't fix that.
I see this most in leadership teams of growing companies: two or more decision-makers, real tension between them, and a topic everyone is tired of talking about.
What happens
One day, everyone in the room, no phones. We put the real options on the table, including the ones people have been avoiding. A structured process keeps it fair: everyone works, everyone gets heard, nobody hides behind rank or volume.
My job is to notice what isn't being said and get it said. By the end, the disagreement has a name and the decision has an owner.
What you leave with
A decision the whole team stands behind, written down, with next steps and names attached. And usually one more thing: the unsaid thing, finally said out loud. Teams tell me that alone was worth the day.
